The KnowMyEx rules

  1. You must be 18 or older to use KnowMyEx.
  2. Use your own WhatsApp number, and keep one account per person.
  3. Committed on KnowMyEx means exclusive. You can only have one active commitment at a time.
  4. A commitment is only recorded when both people accept.
  5. If someone tries to commit with you while you’re committed, the request is blocked and they’re told you can’t accept a new commitment.
  6. Either person can close a relationship at any time. The other person is notified immediately.
  7. After a relationship is closed, both people wait 7 days before making a new commitment.
  8. Your status is only shown to people you choose to share it with.
  9. Don’t use status requests to harass anyone. Requests are limited to 10 a day.
  10. Stories must stay anonymous: no names, phone numbers, photos, links or social media handles. Stories reported by several people are hidden automatically.

What KnowMyEx can and can’t promise

KnowMyEx shows what people choose to share and the commitments they confirm. We can’t guarantee that anyone is honest, and a status on KnowMyEx is not proof of anything outside the app. Use your own judgement.

Your account

Keep your password private. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else is using it, change your password or contact us.

Content you post

You’re responsible for your stories. Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, threatening, sexual, or anything that identifies or harms another person. We may remove content and accounts that break these rules.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from your passport. If you’re committed, close your relationship first so your partner is told.

Changes

We may update these terms as KnowMyEx grows. We’ll change the date at the top when we do. Using KnowMyEx after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
